We are a vibrant group of technical writers who are launching a new business focussing on medical writing and we are looking for writers who want to join a team pursuing new business and building relationships with new clients. Lifestyle is important to us and our goal is to create excellent work opportunities for our writers to support them in pursuing their other goals in life. Our writers work between six and ten months of the year, depending on their other commitments.

 

ABOUT YOU

An exceptional communicator who is passionate about crafting compelling medical narratives. You work confidently and collaboratively to combine your strong understanding of medical and healthcare content for a range of clients and audiences. Bringing strategic thinking and creative flair, you work seamlessly with clients, healthcare professionals and cross-functional teams.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Lead the development of scientific content for medical education

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to craft strategic messaging, core claims, and innovative communication platforms.

• Manage multiple projects, ensuring scientific accuracy, compliance, and alignment with client objectives.

• Design accredited medical education programs that drive behavior change and improve health outcomes.

• Support business growth by contributing to RFPs, pitches, and proactive client opportunities.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

• 5+ years as a Medical Writer in advertising or the pharmaceutical sector.

• ISMPP Certified Medical Publication Professional

• Strategic, creative thinker with attention to detail and confidence to challenge respectively.

• Flexible and collaborative with excellent time and organisational skills.

• Proficient computer skills and excellent communicator.

• Remain focused and effective under pressure.

 

Personality and lifestyle

You need to be happy to work on a project to project basis.

Flexibility to pursue your own creative projects - you tell us when you are not available and we can work around that.

Ideally, we want our writers to work between eight to ten  months of the year cumulatively.

• Good cash flow for our writers. Our writers are dedicated contractors, bill per hour and are paid every fortnight.

Reasonable and healthy work hours. We work mostly full-time weeks. Long days and weekend work are not the norm.
